ALLCOCK DEAD BAIT SPINNER MOUNT

Brought back from the 60-70 era in the same design that were used for mounting a dyed sprat in the cockerchenile dye at the time in either
silver or gold.

Not many anglers may remember that this mount fished with a Silver Sprat accounted for many Spring Salmon in it's day.
Sprats are still available, you can use mackeral strips dyed or natural.

The treble with the eye at an angle is called a Ryder Treble. The fin
near the top of the mount is in 2 parts to close and secure the bait.

Probably the most well known Scottish spoon, still mostly hand made with hand punched dimples on the spoon which has a Silver outside
and Copper underside.  Fitted swivel and Extra Strong VMC Treble.

We still have customers who use no other bait when spinning for Salmon. A great favourite with many Ghillies.
(This bait has been unavailable for some time due to an illness with the maker but stocks are now coming through). In stock as at January 2010. Two sizes available:  3 1/4" - 16gm or 3 1/2" - 19gm.
