| There are various ways of connecting a leader to the fly line, most popular being to fit a leader loop to the line tip, once the loop is fitted you can connect a normal leader or a poly leader with a loop to loop joint. You can also use Eyelets or cast connectors or the above knotless joints. |
 | Most of the more expensive (£20 or more) lines usually come with a supplied leader loop as illustrated left, we can fit these on request, no charge. |
| CONFUSED ABOUT NYLON |
| Normal nylon will absorb water and degenerate slightly over a few years, co-polymer is surface treated, it gives about 4% higher knot strength and floats slightly higher in water, flouro carbon sinks quickly but will not pull a dry fly under. This is fact from the makers. |
