POT BELLY PIGS
All of our Salmon and Sea Trout flies are tied on the premises by John Park (ex Hardy tyer) to high and exacting standards. You won't find better flies anywhere. You will receive these neatly packed and in the same condition as they were when despatched. Expect a few days wait in our busy season, better still order well in advance to help us.
If we had to recommend one fly which will take Salmon on all rivers anywhere then the PB Pig would be a safe choice. Pot Belly Pigs Virtually any fly pattern can be tied PB Pig style, if you have a favourite then let us know.
Our most popular fly of all time, we have been tying these in all available time for the past two years. A very killing fly everywhere, 24 fish up to 27lb on the Kola, 17 fish in a week on the Dee - the catches reported to us are many. This is a shrimpy looking quite attractive fly which features Boar Bristles in the tail which flicker in the water, this is where the fly got it's name. Usually tied on a Bottle Tube with Jungle Cock cheeks. The smaller Mini Pig version which is about half the size of the standard is also popular, we tie about equal numbers of each. You really must try one.
STANDARD POT BELLY PIGS STANDARD POT BELLY PIGS

Original version, about 2" long with flickering Boar bristle tail. This pattern seems to work anywhere. Usually tied on the 15mm aluminium bottle tube but we can tie on brass if you require more weight.

MINIATURE POT BELLY PIGS MINIATURE POT BELLY PIGS

These are even more popular than the standard version. About 1 1/4" long with Boar bristle tail, a perfect low water or grilse fly. Usually tied on aluminium but we can tie on brass if you require a shade more weight.
